On the 16th May we've booked to go and see a show called Cyrano de Bergerac. I went to see the show with my friends Jack, Connor, Courtney. Claire, Adam and Christine. These were my friends from the virtual school.
We chose to see this production because we had heard that it was a different style and also that I was a historic play. There is apparently lots of singing and dancing and also a lot of interaction with the audience.
When we arrived at the theatre on the 16th May we took pictures to use as evidence for any work that needed to be done. Also we discussed what we thought the show would be about and what we would expect from it.
In my opinion I am looking forwards to seeing a historical play with some adult humour. Then it was time to go and take our seats.
Our seats were four seats from the stage. We had a brilliant view. However because of the tickets we had to sit in different places. While we sat down we could see the stage and the set that was on it. I have to admit it was brilliant. It was set up in a old fashioned style.
Then the lights went out and the show began.
The show was brilliant and the singing and dancing was brilliant. The character's costumes were very matched to the setting and also the year in which the production was set.
I thought the set was quite spectacular. It had a eery sort of atmosphere. The background was all in a old fashioned dark smudge brown colour. There was old fashioned benches and old fashioned curtains at the very back of the stage.
I though overall the prod was very good and I would definitely recommend it and go and see it again. The actors interacted with the audience and they came out at the interval and spoke to the audience and made us all laugh.
Also the production had a lot of dancing, singing and laughter.
